This is simply insane and I don't have any idea where Detroit came up with the money. It was very clear we needed a replacement for the year due to V-Mart's unfortunate injury, but...DUDE! It'll certainly be interesting having Prince back in Detroit mashing balls into the upper deck again, this time for reals. Whoa.
Wow! I gotta say I didn't see that one coming. Prince was my predicted free agent flop this year, but I hope he does well in Detroit. At least we won't be surprised seeing the last name Fielder on a Tigers uniform.
ReplyDeleteWell I sure hope you're wrong about him, and as with ANY free agent that signs for this many years for this much, I hate the contract, but boy oh boy could the Tigers run away with the Central now! Like you said, say hello to more Fielder Detroit jersey sales. I just don't know how things shake out next year when you have Fielder/Cabrera/V-Mart on the same roster, but that's a problem I'm happy to have if the money somehow works out...
