A rare non-Wolverines Blowout lot

Yes, it's certainly rare that I buy something on Blowout that ISN'T a Michigan football card, but it still happens sometimes.  I think as recently as a week ago I wrote that I didn't have anything coming, but that changed very quickly thanks to my luck finding a few more lots at my usual stomping grounds.  Up first (since it's the one that's made it to my mailbox so far) is a four-card baseball lot.  The seller was asking $30 OBO, I countered with $25, he came back with $27 and I Rick from Pawn Starsed him at $25 ("Bryce Harper/Jesus 1/1 dual autograph?  Best I can do is $5.") to which he finally relented.
A quick look:

Greg Maddux 1987 Donruss RC (PSA9):  I don't generally buy graded cards, but this one seemed like a good addition to the lot which I could then flip, or, at worst, keep.  If you want it, please shoot me an offer as this has immediately become trade bait.

Trevor Reckling 2010 Bowman Chrome Prospects Refractor auto #356/500:  Really I saw this as a throw-in card, though it's doubly cool in that it's a Refractor and the auto is on-card.  Also available, just make me an offer!

Kelly Shoppach 2009 SP Authentic By the Letter letter patch auto #26/38:  Still not the highlight of the package, but we're getting there, and the presence of this card in the lot kind of sealed the deal for me because I'm going to flip it to Eric sometime soon--you might have heard he likes manupatches.

Troy Tulowitzki 2007 Bowman auto:  HERE's the winner of the package and the main reason I jumped on it.  While I haven't been actively pursuing one, I've definitely wanted a Tulo autograph--he's simply one of the best young shortstops in the game today.  It's not from his RC year and it's a sticker, but I still like it a lot.  This immediately found a home in my baseball autograph PC, to which I haven't added much recently, but at least this one isn't going anywhere.

Tune in next week for a couple more Michigan-centric Blowout lots.  For more Michigan football overload, I may be attending Michigan's fan day event (and garage sale) tomorrow, so if that happens I'll have even more to blog about!

  1. Love the Tulo auto. I've been wanting a Tulo auto for awhile too. Nice score for $25
